Obituary of Peter J. Hachey
Hachey, Peter J. … The death of Peter Joseph Hachey of Garnett Settlement, NB, the last surviving member of his immediate family, husband of the late Elizabeth (Arseneault) Hachey loving wife of 60 years, occurred on October 28, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Lagacéville, NB, he was a son of the late Calestian and Odelle (Leger) Hachey. Peter was employed with Brookville Chemical for 27 years and with the City of Saint John as a Teamster until his retirement. He is survived by three sons, Marcel (Jennifer) Hachey of Taylor Lake, Emile (Sheila) Hachey of Quispamsis, Gordon (Nancy) Hachey of Garnett Settlement,; six grandchildren, Gail, Jamie, Patricia, Andrew, Alex and Adam; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Devon; one sister, several brothers, nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by one son, Jules, several brothers and sisters. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday and Friday, October 29 & 30, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 31, 2009 from St. Joseph’s Church, Loch Lomond Road at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
