Obituary of Ernest Lloyd Marshall
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Ernest "Lloyd" Marshall, husband of Lily (Sparks) Marshall of 64 years, occurred on Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Born on October 17, 1924 in Saint John he was the son of the late Ernest C. and Marguerite (Godwin) Marshall. Ernest had served as a signalman in WWII, serving overseas in Italy, France, Holland and Germany. He was a member NB Masonic Lodge # 22 and the Telephone Pioneers of America Chapter 51. He was employed in the Engineering Department at NB Tel. Besides his loving wife he is survived by two sons, Eric Marshall (Valerie) of Apohaqui, Thomas "Ian" Marshall (Brenda) of Kingston; one daughter Linda Brown (Harrison) of Quispamsis; one sister Joyce Webster (Donald) of Kelowna; six grandchildren, Sarah, Heather, Ricci, Tracey, Jason and Andrea; six great-grandchildren, Kali, Rowan, Luka, Quinn, Charlee and Paige; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by one son, Ernest "Larry" Marshall and one grandson Aaron. To honour Ernest’s request there will be no visitation. A Celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from the Moss Glen Legion at 2:00 pm. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424).
