Obituary of Edward William Jack
It is with deep sadness that the family of Edward William "Eddie" Jack, loving husband to Julie Jack, announce his passing, which occurred unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at his residence. Born in Saint John on January 29, 1958, he was a son of the late Robert and Anita (Cyr) Jack. Eddie loved spending time with his family. His dogs and cats were very important to him, as were his "girls" – better known as his pet chickens. He was a pipefitter by trade, and worked at the dry dock for many years before beginning his contract at the Irving Oil Refinery. He was a member of Local 213 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be missed by his wife, Julie, as well as his daughers, Elisha Boyle and Megan Jack; his siblings, David Cyr (Alberta), Diane Hachey (Robert), Dale Stewart (Russell), Patsy Steeves, Mark Jack (Heather McPhee) and Steven Jack (Julie); several nieces and nephews; a special cousin and good friend, David Gray and his mother, Mame Gray. In addition to his parents, Eddie was predeceased by a brother, Bobby Jack; and two sisters, Jeanie Runzer and Valerie Jack. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances made to Romero House or SPCA Animal Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
