Obituary of Harold K Tonge

Harold Keltie Tonge, beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather, passed away on August 13, 2014, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on December 13, 1927 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Keltie and Jennie (Goldsworthy) Tonge. Surviving are his wife Doris (nee Kelly); children Karen Gibbons (Glen), Rothesay; Thomas Tonge (Sharon), Quispamsis; Robert Tonge (Glenda), Hampton; Janet Forbes (Douglas), Rothesay; Peter Tonge (Nancy), Winnipeg; sister, Jean Lovegrove (Ivan), Quispamsis; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Gramp to Scott and Christopher Tonge (Meredith) & Shannon McCarthy (Scott); Stephen Gibbons (Leslie) & Pamela Foster (Mark); Keltie (Samara) & Alison Tonge (Danya); Ryan, Kyle (Vanessa) and Duncan Forbes. Great grandfather to Brooke, Jack, Rhys, Gage, Kaitlin, Samantha, Carter, Logan, Ava and Marley. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers John and Robert. At Harold’s request, there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date.
