Obituary of Marjorie May Robinson
Marjorie May (Shears) (Hogan) Robinson, wife of the late Douglas Hogan and Reginald Robinson, passed away on March 5, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born July 12, 1927 in Willow Grove, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Lavinia (McIntyre) Shears. Marjorie worked in Dietary at the Saint John General Hospital before opening Margie's Inn in Cambridge-Narrows. Marjorie is survived by her 3 children: Marilyn Hogan-Sims of Winnipeg, Michael Hogan (Sabine) of Edmonton, and Kevin Hogan (Tammy) of Saint John; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Vona Hope (Randolph) and Winnifred MacDonald (Roy), both of Saint John; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Besides her 1st and 2nd husbands and her parents, she was predeceased by 9 brothers and 9 sisters. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424. At Marjorie's request, there will be no visitation, however friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 2 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 57 Magazine Street, Saint John, with a reception to follow. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. Remembrances to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
