Obituary of Clarissa E. Walsh
The death of Clarissa Walsh of Dieppe and formerly of Saint John, wife of the late George H. Walsh occurred on Friday, December 20, 2013, at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Rose Blanche, NL on August 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Skinner) Organ. Prior to her retirement, Clarissa was employed as a pharmacy technician. She started her career at the Saint John Regional Hospital and retired from the Toronto General after twenty years of loyal service. She loved helping others and took great pride in her time spent actively volunteering with the veterans at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital. Clarissa is survived by her children, Diane LeBlanc (Pierre Breau) of Dieppe and Hal Walsh (Howard Heyman) of Halifax; sisters, Geraldine Mitchell (Robert) of Saint John, Anne Walker of Calgary and Margaret Hood of North Sydney; brothers, Phil Organ (Kay) of North Sydney and Jack Organ (Meg) of Ontario; grandchildren, Sean and Justin LeBlanc; great-grandson, Alexander; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Douglas and sisters, Hazel MacDonald and Mary MacIntyre. All services will be held privately. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
