Obituary of Marion Alma Arbou
It is with heavy hearts the family of the late Marion Arbou, beloved wife of 72 years to Herbert L. Arbou, announce her passing on August 31, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Port Wade, NS on May 20, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Grace (Hayes) and Horace Snow. In addition to her husband, Marion is survived by her children Faye Arbou of Saint John, Arlene Shannon (Kevin) of Rothesay and Gordon Arbou (Jana Logue-Arbou) of Port Williams, NS; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; a sister Helen Dickson; daughter-in-law Marilyn Arbou and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Ronald in 1989; a brother Gordon Snow (the late Dorothy); a sister Juanita Morehouse (the late Jack); and a brother in law George Dickson. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Seventh-Day Adventist church, 509 Woodward Avenue, Saint John, NB on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm with interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
