Obituary of Susan Hope Jewell
Susan Hope Jewell passed away on October 16, 2014 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Saint John, on July 31, 1945 she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Doris (Powell) Hamm. Susan worked at Saint John Regional Hospital in which she enjoyed very much. William and Susan dedicated their lives raising and supporting their family. She is survived by her children Crystal Jewell (Kevin Smith); Shonna Jewell Salkey (Whitney); brother John Hamm (Audrey); sisters Patricia Hughes; Viola Edgette (Garnet); grandchildren Ashlie Jewell, Hallie Jewell and Mackenzie Curbishley; great grandchildren Emma Jewell; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her, husbands Henry Jewell and William O’Benis; brother-in-law John Hughes. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424), with visitation on Sunday, October 19 7-9 pm and Monday, October 20, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday October 21 at 12 noon. In Lieu of flowers, remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
