Obituary of Ruth I. Bradley
After a long and fulfilling life, the death of Ruth Bradley, wife of the late David Bradley occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, December 30, 2013. She was born on October 27, 1926 in Brown’s Flat to the late William and Etta (Crabbe) Otis. Ruth worked with the Canadian Red Cross for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Brown’s Flat Baptist Church and a member of the Brown’s Flat Women’s Missionary Society; serving three years as president and 13 years as treasurer. Ruth is survived by her son Douglas Bradley (Barb) of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter, Krissy Burnette (Corey) and special niece, Faye Bradley McDonald of Saint John. She was predeceased by her husband, parents and brother, Kenneth. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Grey’s Mills Baptist Church Cemetery, Long Reach, NB in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
