Obituary of Beulah Merle Kelly
The death of Miss Beulah Merle Kelly of Saint John occurred at the Loch Lomond Village on Sunday, January 19, 2014. She was born at Long's Creek, York County, NB, the daughter of the late George Guilford Kelly and Myrtle Irene (Kelly) Kelly. Miss Kelly was educated at the Provincial Normal School and the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, having taught school in the Provinces of New Brunswick, Alberta, and Quebec, together with twenty years in the City of Saint John. She was an active member of Main Street United Baptist Church, having taught Sunday School for many years. She was also involved with the Explorer and Pioneer Programs, together with church visitation. She was a Dominion Life Member of the Baptist Women's Missionary Society, and a member of the Harambee Missionary Society for many years. She served for a time as a volunteer worker at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Although there will be no visitation time, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Interment will take place at a later date in the Prince William Cemetery. Miss Kelly had asked specifically for no flowers; for those who wish, remembrances to RiverCross Church (formerly Main Street Baptist Church) would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and remembrances may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
