Obituary of Mary Isabel Richardson
Mary Isabel Richardson passed away on December 19, 2014 in Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on February 15, 1934 in Sussex, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Jennie (Prosser) Richardson. Mary lived her whole life with her family, living with her sister, Lena Spellman, in Hampton for many years and most recently with her sister Pauline Hughes in Willow Grove. She had a special love for children with whom she enjoyed spending time. She was an avid bird watcher. She also loved to express herself with the medium of colour. Surviving are her siblings, Minnie Redfern, Yarmouth; Laura Clements, Saint John; Lena (Ronald) Spellman, Rothesay; Lloyd (Helene) Richardson, Saint John; Pauline Hughes, Willow Grove; Everett Richardson, Nauwigewauk; John (Lori) Richardson, Saint John; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her infant brother, Joseph; sister, Lorraine Hughes. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, December 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be celebrated from Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Saint John Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Inc., Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of one’s choice.
