Obituary of Marjorie Mary Murphy
Marjorie Mary Murphy, the wife of the late Edward "Bud" Murphy, passed away on February 23, 2015 at the Dr. Chalmers’s Hospital, Fredericton. Born on June 11, 1912 she was a daughter of the late Jim and Catherine (Werner) Daley. Marjorie was a member of Holy Trinity Church and the CWL at Holy Trinity and also a member with the Rocmaura Nursing Home and St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliaries. She is survived by her daughters, Carole Ann Mercer, New Maryland and Mary Lou Frame, Brantford, ON; brother, James (Joan) Daley; four grandchildren, Kelly and Sarah Mercer and Gregory and Keith Finley, five great grandchildren, Morgan, Claire, Rhys, Jackson and Brandon, many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she is predeceased by sisters, Sr. Dorothy SOS; Ursula, Josephine, Carmel, Gertrude and brother, Theodore. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 2-6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 12:00 pm from Holy Trinity Church, 21 Canon Street. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. No flowers by request, remembrances to Rocmaura Foundation or Holy Trinity Church Building fund would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com.
