Obituary of Robert James Walsh
The death of Robert James " Bob" Walsh took place at The Saint John Regional Hospital in Saint John, on January 3, 2015. Bob,was born on December 29, 1945 in Newcastle, New Brunswick, now Miramichi City. He was the son of Robert and Doris (Taylor) Walsh of Nordin, now Miramichi City. Bob, or Junior, as he was called by the family, is survived by six children, all of Alberta, Sandra, Tina, Jacqueline, Victoria (Vicky), and Deborah (Debbie). He was predeceased by a son, James " Jamie" Walsh. Bob, was one of the 11 children of Robert (Robbie) and Doris, he is survived by his sister's: Rita Ford (Harvey), Margaret Dickie (Robert T.) both of New Glasgow, N.S., Anna Lewis, of London, Ont., Colleen Walsh of Kamloops, B.C., a brother, Peter of Calgary, Alberta. He was predeceased by his siblings: Ronald (Ronnie) of Miramichi, Judith Rogers (Arthur) of Orillia, Ont., Lawrence (Lornie) Margaret Digman of Miramichi, Linda Rose Somers (Brian) of Lyttleton, Northesk, and Mary "Debra", who died as a child. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including his special cousin, Margaret Rose Murphy Bob, fought a long and courageous battle with throat cancer for about 10 years, and suffered greatly during the past two years.....with the help and full support of his special friend, Bob Arnott of Lorneville, and friend and neighbour, June Foster of Saint John, Bob was able to stay in his home until the end..... As per Bob's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. There will however be an interment at St. Samuel's Roman Catholic Church in Douglastown (Miramichi) later in the spring. Notices will be posted. For anyone wishing condolences may be posted on this page, any donations may be made to The Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation
