Obituary of Dorothy Margaret McNally
With her family at her side the death of Dot McNally occurred at the Loch Lomond Village on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. She was born on May 30, 1913 in Montreal, QC to the late Walter and Gertrude (Dole) Smith. Dot worked at the Paramount Theatre for over 32 years until her retirement. She is survived by her son, Jim Robertson (Sheila) of Saint John; daughter, Barb McKay (George) of Saint John; grandchildren: Susan McNamara (Jim), Dana McKay (Jennifer), Ramona Pilote (Sylvan) and Jason Robertson; great-grandchildren: Timmy (Shelley), Corey (Sarah), Shawnie, Taylor, Stephanie and Christopher; sister-in-law, Eileen Robertson and several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dot was predeceased by her parents; first husband, Courtland Robertson; second husband, Edmund McNally; grandson, Terry McKay and brother, Ronald Smith. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel later that evening starting at 7:00 pm. Interment will take place in Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex in the spring. For those who wish remembrances to the SPCA or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
