Obituary of Mary Helen Doyle
The death of Mary Doyle of Rothesay, wife of Raymond Doyle occurred unexpectedly on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at her home. Born in Saint John on September 16, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Knox) Arseneau. Mary was employed as a nurse at Centracare for over twenty years. She also assisted Raymond with several of the family businesses. Over the years, Mary taught ceramics; a craft she truly enjoyed. In addition to her husband of 70 years, Mary is also survived by her children, Theresa Arseneau of Saint John, Leonard (Kathy) of Baxters Corner, Martin of Trenton, ON, Robert (Pauline) of Port Moody, BC, Gregory of Saint John, John (Karen) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Larry (Anita) of Musquash and Andrea Doyle of Saint John; brother, Arthur Arseneau of ON; sisters, Elsie DeNeef of BC, Theresa Gauthier of Halifax, Marie McEachern (Harold) of ON, Ann Bennett (Gary) of Nackawic and Irene Smith (Philip) of Halifax; sister-in-law, Betty Arseneau of Moncton; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Ronald and Douglas Arseneau. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, March 10 from 6-8 PM and Wednesday, March 11 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.
