Obituary of Violet Vivian Wilson
Violet Vivian Wilson passed away on June 29, 2014 at the Loch Lomond Village, Saint John. Born on January 1, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Corey Joseph and Emma Jean (Kierstead) Sleep. Violet was a member of the Fundy Chapter of the Eastern Star, the UCW and a long standing member of Brookville Torryburn Red Cross. She enjoyed quilting in her spare time. Surviving are her daughters, Sandra Anningson (Dr. Richard), Saint John; Wendy Britt (Wayne), Saint John; Gail Grant (Keith), Saint John; step-daughter, Joan Smith, Tweed, Ontario; sisters, Lena Greenwood, Young’s Cove; Vera Blackwell (William), Rothesay; brother, Gerald Sleep (Winnifred) Hamilton, ON. grandchildren, Michael MacDonald (Fadia), Blair MacDonald, (Sue); Ryan Anningson; Brett Anningson; Andrew Anningson (Nancy); Neil Britt (Tina); Andrea Dunfield (Aaron); Corey Britt (Kari); Bill Smith (Elaine); Cathy MacDonald (Larry); George Smith; Jill (Dennis) Weagant; Mark Smith; Susan Smith and Julie Smith; several great and great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, George; brothers, Harold, Leon, Angus Cecil, Alvin and Ralph. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday July3, 2014 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish remembrances to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
