Obituary of Gladys Gwendoline Donovan
The death of Gladys Donovan of Sussex and formerly of Saint John, wife of the late James Donovan occurred on Sunday, July 6, 2014, at the Sussex Health Centre. Born on March 27, 1917 in Cornwall, England, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Emily (Yates) Carhart. Gladys is survived by sisters, Ida McKnight of Sussex and Ruth Rouse of Carsonville; brother, Edward "Buck" of Carsonville; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Joyce and Elizabeth; as well as brothers, Thomas, Leonard, Bill, Roy, Murray and Charles. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, which will be immediately followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM, all from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
