Obituary of Alfred Joseph Landry
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Alfred J. "Fred" Landry, husband of the late Geraldine (Richard) Landry, announce his passing which occurred on Saturday, September 26, 2015. He was born on May 13, 1958 to the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Johnson) Landry. Fred was a very social being, he enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren, always making time to get together, even just for a little while. He was raised in the country and often reminisced about how peaceful he found it. Fred will be missed by his loving family, his daughters: Linda Melanson (Melvin), Denise Comeau (Larry), Nancy (Adam) Williston, Andrea Landry (Freddie) and Kathy Landry (Travis), his grandchildren: Haly, Melanie, Derick, Vicky, Annick, Kayla, Tyson, Olivier, Ashley, Melinda and Emma, his sister Ann (Wade) Thomas and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Geraldine, Fred was predeceased by his brothers: Richard, Gary and Billy Landry. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424) where visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday at 2:00 PM from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to Romero House. Online condolences may be placed at www.brenansfh.com.
