Obituary of Gordon Ivan Brown
Gordon Ivan Brown, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 30, 1949 in Saint John he was a son of the late Clarence and Gwendolyn (Steeves) Brown. Gordon was a retired Police Officer in the City of Saint John. His music, singing and socializing with family and friends gave him great joy. Gordon was a loving husband to his wife Carolyn of over 40 years. Gordon’s second love was his daughter Sabrina and as a grampy he adored his grand kids Riley, Grace and Gavin. He was predeceased by his grandson, Hayden Joseph Poirier. He is survived by his 2 brothers, George "Buddy" of Fitchburg, Mass and Bruce, Boston, Mass. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 11:00 am from St. James Anglican Church, 2000 Loch Lomond Road. For those who wish, remembrances made in memory of Gordon to the Children’s Wish Foundation or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
