Obituary of Mary Eileen Cole
The peaceful passing of Mary Cole occurred on Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a long period of illness. Born September 30, 1952 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Gordon E. and Mary E. (Patterson) Craft. Mary enjoyed spending her life working with children with various organizations, with her last job being at Kids Choice Child Care. She was an avid sports fan, with hockey, softball, and curling being her favourites. She loved spending time with her family, and her grandchildren were her greatest joy. Mary will be deeply missed by her children: Tracy Forsythe (Chris), Jo Cole (Ellen), Wayne Cole (Shannon), Tim Cole (Kelly) of Calgary, and Jillian Cougle (Jim); grandchildren: Kiel and Keaton Forsythe, Emily, Julia, and Liam Cole, Dawson Cole and Alex Donnelly, Lennon Sophia Cole, and Shelby Cole and Mason Cougle; sisters: Sharon Jardine of Lantz, NS, Patti Stewart (Wayne), and Kelly Robinson (Scott); brothers: Gordie Craft Jr. (Nora), Tim Craft (Kim), and Bob Craft (Sharon); and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Dale Jardine. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff of 3BS for their wonderful care of Mary during her three years there. Your kindness will not be forgotten. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424, with visiting on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 11am from St. Peter’s Church, 50 Clarendon Street. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation, the Saint John Boys and Girls Club, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.brenansfh.com.
