Obituary of Edith Rose Curwin
Edith Rose (Taylor) Curwin passed away on February 25, 2015 at Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. Born on June 30, 1928, in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Dora (MacNivan) Taylor. She was the last surviving member of her 10 siblings. Edith worked for the Provincial Hospital for over 23 years. She loved all animals but especially her rescued cat, Sandi. Surviving are her children, Gregory (Debbie) Henderson, Rothesay; Kevin (Rosemary) Henderson, Kamloops, BC; Dianne Wilson, Saint John; 3 granddaughters, 5 grandsons as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her infant daughter, Gail, sisters, Phyllis Small, Minnie Johnston, Ethel Long, Grace Broadley, Florence Gaynes; brothers, Richard Taylor, Walter Taylor, Harold Taylor, Arthur Taylor and Ernest Taylor. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424), with visiting on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, at a later date. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the S.P.C.A. Animal Rescue League or to Carleton Kirk Lodge would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com.
