Obituary of Muriel Gertrude Train
It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family of Muriel Train, wife of the late Harry Train, announce her passing which occurred on September 3, 2015 at the Church of St. John & St. Stephen Home. Born in Saint John on February 1, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Muriel (Carlgren) Thomas. Muriel loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She took great pleasure in meeting new people. Her greatest joy came from her love for her children and grandchildren. Over the years Muriel and Harry had various businesses; Rink service station, Torino Taxi, Tanya’s Convenience Store and a Video Lottery Business. She will be missed by her five children, Brian (Artie), Victor (Cyndi), Harry (Yenny), Larry and Tanya (Andrew); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Muriel was predeceased by a brother, George Thomas; and two grandsons, Jason Train and Ryan Miller. The family wishes to thank the staff and residents of St. John & St. Stephen Home for their kind hearts during their Mom’s stay with them. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Although no formal visitation or funeral service will be held, a private family interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Church of St. John & St. Stephen Home Inc. or Romero House would be appreciated by the family.
