Obituary of Clara May Day
It is with great sadness that the family of Clara M. (McLean) Day announce her unexpected passing, which occurred on Monday, September 14, 2015 at her residence. Born in Bonny River, NB on June 1, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Myrtle (Pace) and William McLean. Clara will be missed by her children, Allen Day (Marion), Michael Day (Faith), Stephen Day, Joseph Day, Charlaine Hitchcock (Greg), Loretta Ronak (Mike Brubaker), Marlo Webster (Paul) and Clair Day (Terry Bonnar); her sisters, Mary Barker (The late Bernie), Loretta McLean and Ruth Vossen (The late Jon); many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a large circle of friends and extended relatives. In addition to her parents, Clara was predeceased by her husband, Chester Day; her companion, Herbert Perry; a son, Brian Chester; and siblings, Phyllis McKinnon and Bobby Merrithew. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). The family will gather at Brenan’s Funeral Home on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM at which time they will process to Ocean View Memorial Gardens for an interment at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to A Living Memorial would be appreciated by the family.
