Obituary of Lynne Golding
Lynne died at Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, NB on Friday, Dec. 4 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born in Saint John NB, Aug. 26, 1937, Lynne was the daughter of Frederick and Kathleen Dunham. Lynne is survived by her husband The Rev. Canon Jim Golding, daughter Jane Golding Mowatt, son-in-law, James Mowatt, grandsons Ben and John Mowatt, of Rothesay, cousin Nancy Mullaly who resides in BC, sister-in-law Joanne Belliveau, Grand Barachols, NB and several nieces and nephews of the Garland family. Lynne graduated from Saint John High School in 1955 and had a successful career with Scotiabank in Saint John and Halifax, NS and was one of the first female bank managers for Scotiabank in the Maritimes, she retired in 1995. Lynne had a great love for music and sang in local choirs and was an accomplished piano player. In her younger years Lynne played competitive tennis. After retirement Lynne and Jim enjoyed cruising and trips to the coast of Maine. A celebration of Lynne's life will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Rothesay on Wednesday, December 9th at 11 AM. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
