Obituary of Ann Marion Hunter
Ann Marion Hunter passed away peacefully on April 7, 2015 with her niece, Lynn, by her side, at her residence in the St. John and St. Stephen Home. Born July 16, 1917 in Mispec, NB, she was a daughter of the late John James and Elizabeth Louise (Wood) Hunter. Ann was a graduate of Saint John Vocational School and Modern Business College, where she took Accounting. She worked as an Accounting Clerk for 11 years at Baxter Dairies and 11 years at Lawson Motors. Ann was a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, and belonged to the ACW and Silver Threads Seniors Club. She was also a member of the Saint John Vocational School Alumni and the Saint John Regional Hospital Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her brothers: Everett, John, Walter, George, and Fred; sisters: Florence, Hazel, and Alice; 3 siblings that passed at an early age: Ethel, Verdon, and Francis; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend, George Eastwood. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1 pm in Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Mispec Cemetery at a later date. Remembrances to St. Luke’s Anglican Church or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.brenansfh.com.
