Obituary of Maynard Wetmore Lamb
The death of Maynard W. Lamb occurred after a brief illness at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday September 24, 2014. He was born in Saint John on February 15, 1934 a son of the late Gordon J. and Nancy (Vanhorne) Lamb. Maynard was a life long resident of the Saint John area and was employed for many years with Canada Post. He was the postmaster of the Rothesay branch. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the Montreal Canadians and the Toronto Blue Jays. He was predeceased by two brothers Merlin and Allison and a sister Almeta. Maynard is survived by his son Alan M. Lamb and his three daughters Alison (Allan) O’Hanley, Andrea (Brian) Peacock, Annette Lamb and their mother Frances Pottle, one sister Margaret (Burton) Waddell, eight grandchildren Laura, Andrew, Katie, Alex, Joshua, Jordan, Brodie and Isaac; two great grandchildren Aliyah and Audrey, several nieces and nephews. Maynard is resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B. (643-7424). Visiting hours are Sunday, September 28, 2014, 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Chapel on Monday at 10 am. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations to Canadian Diabetes Association, N.B. Heart and Stroke or Romero House would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be placed at www.brenansfh.com
