Obituary of Hilda Mary Cormier
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Hilda Cormier of Saint John announces her death, which occurred on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on October 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ida (Bertin) Cormier. Hilda is survived by her children, Joseph, Bruce (Bonnie), Kevin (Lorna) and Betty Anne (Carey), all of Saint John; siblings, Raymond of Bathurst, Gerald (Marge) and Elizabeth, both of Saint John; grandchildren, Stephanie, Bruce, Terrance, Curtis, Wesley and Jessica; six great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Hilda was also predeceased by her life companion, Edward Findlay and siblings, Lillian, Alexander, Francis and Donald. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the SJRH Palliative Care Unit c/o the SJRH Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
