Obituary of John Edwin Campbell
John Edwin Campbell, husband of Lillian (Donald) Campbell passed away on November 30, 2014, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 20, 1924 in Fairville, he was a son of the late Daniel E. and Helen M. (Williston) Campbell. John was a former member of the Saint John Shipbuilding Union and an Honorary Member of Local #6 Industrial Union of Marine Shipbuilding of Canada. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, David (Patty) Campbell, Saint John; daughters, Shirley (Dennis) Ripley, Saint John; Patricia (Malcolm) Northrup, Victoria, BC; brother, Robert (Beverly), Saint John; grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah and Emma Northrup; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Audrey Murphy; brothers, William "Bill" Campbell and Everett "Nick" Campbell. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Silver Falls United Church. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the Alzheimer's Society or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
