Obituary of Elizabeth Johanna Barnes-Roach
Barnes-Roach, Elizabeth "Betty"- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Elizabeth Barnes-Roach announce her passing which occurred on July 11, 2015. Born on June 12, 1954 in Toronto, Ontario to the late Garland and Violet (Sweetland) Barnes, she was also the wife of the late Donald Roach. Betty was a long time employee of Maritime Paper and in her down time she enjoyed lending a hand at Westfield United Church. Her family will miss her and her baking, dearly. Betty is survived by her children, Michael Roach (Eleanor Kelley) and Michelle Roach (David Ferris), her brother Edwin Barnes (Shirley Allingham) and her good friend Nancy Williams. Besides her parents and husband, Betty is predeceased by her brother Richard Barnes. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation beginning at 12:30pm on Wednesday July 15, 2015 and a Funeral Service to take place on the same day at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of donor’s choice. Online condolences may be placed at www.brenansfh.com.
