Obituary of Marion Mabel Damery
The death of Marion Mabel (Stewart) Damery, wife of the late William Damery, occurred on Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born April 28, 1923 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late William and Mabel (Ramsay) Stewart. Prior to her retirement, Marion worked as a Pay Supervisor for Irving Oil. She enjoyed feeding the chickadees during her walks at the Irving Nature Park, and found so much enjoyment in hosting family dinners, and spending time with her family in general. Marion is survived by her only son, William; grandchildren: David (Allison), Derek (Lacey), and Laura (Jon White); great-grandchildren: Carson, Luke, and Lana; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Linda; brothers: William Stewart, David Stewart, George Stewart, Ronald MacGorman, and Clinton MacGorman; and her special friend, Raymond "Butch" Nason. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 4, 2014 at 12 pm at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Remembrances to Saint John Regional Hospital’s Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.brenansfh.com.
