Obituary of Audrey Eileen Sands
It is with heavy hearts the family of Audrey E. Sands, wife of the late Laurence Sands, announce her passing which took place on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Poodiac, NB on August 22, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Bernice (McDonald) Brown. Audrey will be missed by her children, Paul Sands (Christine), Daniel Sands, Kevin Sands (Deanna), Carol Murphy (the late Peter), Elaine Ayles (Kevin) and Donna Sands (Daniel Comeau); her siblings, Maurice Brown (Theresa), Edward Brown (Anne), Doris McGinnis (the late Gerald), Phyllis Gallant (the late Robert), Helen Gallant (the late Urban) and Florence Enright (Lorne); many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her special friend, Laura Robichaud; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Audrey was predeceased by a brother Eldon Brown and a sister Theresa Brown. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of the Assumption, 360 Duffering Row, Saint John, NB on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Norton, NB on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
