Obituary of Brian Daniel Logue
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Brian Daniel Logue, loving husband to the late Lois (Davidson) Logue, announce his passing which occurred on January 2, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on March 13, 1945 to the late Joseph and Josephine (O’Brien) Logue. Brian worked for the City of Saint John and held a number of positions during his over 30 years of employment. Brian was always active in his community, having sat on the Board for Hestia House and United Way . He was a friend of Bill W. and aided many fellow members with their struggles and goals. He was an avid poker player, enjoyed pool, spending his summers at the camp on Kennebecasis Island and at Pine Cone Campground with family friends and kicking up his heels dancing. Brian was a social being and a joker. He could often be found striking up conversations with perfect strangers over the simplest of topics. Brian will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Brian is survived by his stepchildren: Lori (Danny) Doiron, Christine (Barrie) Onysty, Jonathan (Heather) Sullivan; his granddaughter Amanda Onysty; his sister Patricia Garey; his nephew Terry (Jackie) Keleher, great niece Kaitlyn and great nephew Christopher along with several nieces, nephews and members of his extended family. He also leaves behind many close friends, who over the years became family. Besides his parents and wife, Lois, Brian is predeceased by his siblings: Bobby Logue, Donna Keleher, Catherine Haight, and Jack Logue. Brian’s family would like to express their utmost gratitude to the entire staff of 4CS-Rehab. Your compassion and care for Brian did not go unnoticed, Thank You. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5 and Wednesday, January 6 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Church on Thursday, January 7 at 12:00 PM.
