Obituary of John J. Barrieau
It is with profound sadness that the family of John Barrieau, loving husband of Mary (Thorne) Barrieau, announces his passing which occurred on October 10, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on October 9, 1952 to the late Arthur Barrieau and Genevieve (Clarke) Arsenault. John was a hardworking, kind and loving man. He had a flare for karaoke and enjoyed collecting coins. Above all he loved his family and his family loved him. He was very proud of his children and his 11 grandchildren. He also had a great companion in the family dog, Kida. He will be missed by all who knew him. John is survived by his wife Mary, their children: Miranda (Jeff) Belliveau, Jonathan (Rosalie) Barrieau and Joanne (Ben) Hunter, his grandchildren: Ostynn, Samantha, Tristan, Hannah, Amber, Jonathan, Noah, Brooke, Colton, Joel and Olivia, his brother Arthur Barrieau and many nieces, nephews and members of his extended family. Besides his parents, John is also predeceased by his step-father Arthur Arsenault. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424) where visitation will be held on Monday, October 12 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 12:10 PM with interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery.
