Obituary of Robert William White
It is with heavy hearts the family of Bob White of Darlings Island announce his unexpected passing, after a courageous battle, at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Bob was born in Saint John on September 2, 1947 and was the eldest son of the late John H. and Joan (Walsh) White. He was employed for many years as a power engineer at the Irving Pulp and Paper Mill. Bob enjoyed his family, time with his grandchildren, gardening, reading and sports. He was a volunteer firefighter in Nauwigewauk. Bob will be deeply missed by his family. He is survived by his dedicated wife of 43 years, Kathy (Kelly) White; daughters, Kerry Little (Doug), Saint John; Krista White (Sean Doyle) Fort McMurray, AB; Kimberley Vincent (Danny), Hammond River; Karen Stanley (Justin), Nauwigewauk; brothers, Rick White (Lorrie), Rothesay; Kevin White (Rose), Saint John; sisters, Sharon Major (John), Riverview, Gail Cutler (Paul) Hampton; grandchildren, Brandon, Blake, Logan, Brooke, Barrett, Cole and Bella; many nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 91 Waterloo Street, on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at 12:10 PM. A private interment will follow later. For those who wish remembrances can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
