Obituary of Frances H. Cormier
It is with great sadness the family of Frances Henrietta Cormier, wife of the late Edward J. Cormier, announce her passing which occurred on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born in Saint John on March 24, 1929, Frances was a daughter of the late Frank and Annie (Bradley) Murphy. Frances loved animals, especially dogs and cats. She also had a great love for children, and was a wonderful supporter of overseas foster children. She was always ready and willing to lend a hand to someone in need. She will always be remembered for her smile and laughter. Frances will be missed by her children: Gloria Reade (Bill), Connie "Loretta" Richards (Michael), James Cameron (Marie); three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Frances was predeceased by a sister, Mary Mulhern and a brother, James Murphy. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of Frances’ life will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 10:00 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances made to Rocmaura Foundation, Alzhiemer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
