Obituary of Hermance M. McCluskey
It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Emmy McCluskey announces her passing, which occurred on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at age 80. Born in Rogersville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Aurore (Richard) King and the wife of Leonard E. McCluskey. Emmy grew up in Saint John, NB and lived in Quebec and Ontario before settling in Miramichi. She enjoyed many hobbies; sewing, gardening, square dancing, being a choir member and in her younger years horseback riding at Rockwood Park. Emmy will be missed by her children, Pamela Hollis (Greg) and Liz O’Shea (Brian Doyle); grandchildren, Derek and Dakota Hollis, and Pamela O’Shea; siblings, Rheal King (Becky), Reggie King (Fran), Bernice King, Carmella Parker (the late Ronnie) and Dianne Walton (Alphonse); as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Emmy was predeceased by two sons, Dr. Alan McCluskey and Leonard "Mickey" McCluskey; and sisters, Delores Melnyk, Reina Rushton and Ronalda Wyman. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Stella Maris Church, 201 Bayside Drive, Saint John, NB on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 12:05 pm. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
