Obituary of Joseph Emile Arsenault
It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Emile Arsenault announce his passing which occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on October 20, 2015. Born on May 12, 1927, he was a loving husband to the late Louise (Basque) Arsenault and a son of the late Felix and Exilda (Melanson) Arsenault. Emile spent over 25 years working as a Longshoreman for the Port of Saint John. He loved traveling with his late wife across Canada in their motor home to visit new places and spend time with family. He was also a past member of the Denis Morris Seniors Club. Emile will be sadly missed by his surviving family. He is survived by his children; Arlene Dick (Earle) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Paul Arsenault (Susan) of Greely, ON, and Anne Hatchette of Saint John, his grandchildren; Cory and Kevin Dick, Justin, Lauren and Spencer Arsenault, Kim, Sean and Scott Hatchette, his great-grandchild; Ava Ross and his sister; Nora Cotturo. Besides Emile’s wife and parents, he is predeceased by his brother; Gerald, his sister; Imelda and his special friend Maribelle Jennings. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424 with visitation being held on Friday, October 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place from St. Rose of Lima Church on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10 am. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
