Obituary of Constance Eldora Garnett
Constance "Connie" Garnett, better known as "Come Back Connie" wife of the late Lawrence Paul Garnett, passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Born in Saint John on July 15, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Ludlow and Annie (Porter) Stevenson. Connie is survived by four daughters, Pauline (Jack) Parfitt of California, Dianne (Leo Paul) Levesque of Moncton, Lynne (Clarence) Tibbo of Lower Sackville, NS and Brenda (David) Lutz of Hampton; three sons, L.P. Roderick (Chris Cross) of Saint John, Terry (DeDee) of St. Albert, AB and Mark of Hatfield Point; she was blessed with 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Wendy Garnett. Connie was the last surviving member or her immediate family. She was an avid bowler and always enjoyed a good game of bingo. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, October 31 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place in Old Cedar Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
