Obituary of Joseph Philip Fisher

Joseph "Joe" Philip Fisher passed away on March 15, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on June 9, 1931 he was a son of the late Alburn "Tippy" and Mabel (O’Donnell) Fisher. Joe was a master plumber and proprietor of a local plumbing business. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening as well as spending time at their cottage on Bellisle Bay. He was a member of the Knights Of Columbus and participated in their bowling league for many years. Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" (Williston) Fisher; children, Dr. Robert J. (Nancy) Fisher, Saint John and Susan (Peter) Little, Quispamsis; brother, Charles Fisher, Saint John; sister, Marion (James) Keirstead, ON; grandchildren Benjamin Fisher, Saint John, Megan Fisher, Saint John, Jeffrey Woodland, Ottawa, Ryan Woodland, Quispamsis and Heather (Corey) MacMichael, Quispamsis; Aryaunna Woodland Wright, Alberta; Jayden and Chanel Woodland, Fredericton; Avery, Miley, Rhys and Logan MacMichael, Quispamsis; uncle, George Fisher, Guelph, ON and sister-in-law, Margaret "Peggy" Durning, Saint John; several cousins, nieces, nephews. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Pius X Church, 316 Sommerset Street on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 9:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
