Obituary of Geraldine M. Stephen
The death of Geraldine "Gerri" M. Stephen of Saint John occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 4, 2014. Gerri was born in Saint John on April 29, 1925 and was a daughter of the late Sir Louis and Eva M. (George) Stephen. She was a lifelong parishioner of the Cathedral Parish. Gerri was a medical secretary to Dr. Carl Trask, legal secretary to Ralph Stephen, and was involved in property management. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Joseph, Frederick "Bud", Dr. Wesley, Peter, Paul, Michael, Sir Louis II and Ralph; sisters, Theresa, Barbara, and Madelyn. She is survived by sister-in-laws, Lillian, Beatrice, Jytte (Pusser) and Lee Stephen; many nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 10:00 a.m at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances to St. Vincent de Paul, Dr. David Stephen Memorial Fund or Cathedral Restoration Fund would be appreciated by the family.
