Obituary of Ada Pearl Simonds
Ada "Pearl" Simonds passed away with her loving family at her side on June 16, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on February 17, 1933 in Saint John she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Muriel (Kelly) Lawrence. Pearl was a member of Ladies Orange Dominion Lodge #18 Benevolent and Loyal Temple #13 with the Pithian Sisters, as well as a member of the Portland United Church. She was a canvasser with the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Surviving are her children, Linda Moyle, Orleans, ON; Patricia (Peter) MacLellan, Bedford, NS; Frederick, Bedford, NS; Deborah (Alain) Meloche, Moncton; grandchildren, Matthew Moyle, Heather MacLellan, Alicia MacLellan, Jennifer Meloche, Christina Meloche and Katherine Meloche and great grandson, Cameron Marr; sisters Donna (Seth) Weston; Mary Kendal; Charlie Lawrence, Doug (Mary) Lawrence, Ernie Day and Raymond (Marg) Garrett. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Patrick Moyle and several brothers; Pearl’s family would like to thank the nurses of 5CN and the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital, for the special care they showed to their mother. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), the funeral service will be held from Loch Lomand Villa Chapel on Friday, June 19, 2015, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
