Obituary of Robert Edward Hawkins

Robert "Bobby" Edward Hawkins passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Saint John, NB on April 2, 1988, he was a son of Kevin Cox and Brenda "Lynn" Hawkins. Bobby (or George, as his mother called him), was a talented, humourous, caring, spontaneous person. He had a positive outlook on life, and never spoke poorly about anyone. He was mannerly, always kept his room clean, and loved people unconditionally. He always took a backseat to his sister, without complaint. Bobby was an old spirit, but most of all he radiated love. Words cannot describe the love he shared with so many people, and how many lives he touched. Aside from his parents, Bobby is survived by his sister, Melony Hawkins; nephew, Rian Hawkins; maternal grandparents, Brenda Gallant (Thomas Robichaud) and Robert Hawkins (Diana Hamilton); grandfather, Clifford Cox; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424), with visitation on Monday, October 19, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 12-2 PM, with a funeral service following at 2:00 PM in Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel.
