Obituary of James Joseph Kennedy
Kennedy, James ‘Jim’ Joseph The death of James ‘Jim’ Joseph Kennedy, husband of Agnes ‘Aggie’ Kennedy, occurred unexpectedly at his residence on January 15, 2007. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late James and Mary (Dibblee) Kennedy. He retired from the Water and Sewage Department, City of Saint John, after 35 years of service. He was an active member of Local #18 and coached the Local #18 hockey team. He was an avid sports fan enjoying hockey and baseball. He was an outdoorsman spending time at his camp hunting and fishing. He is survived by his children Michael Kennedy (Joann) of Saint John, Cheryl Jennings of Saint John, Michelle Kennedy (Paul Morrison) of Saint John, Michael S. Montgomery (Debora) of Saint John, Patrick C. Montgomery (Bonnie) of the Kingston Peninsula, Cheyenne Montgomery of Saint John, his sisters Catherine Rogerson of Quispamsis, Elizabeth Payne (Evan) of Borden, PEI, Irene Gould (Greg) of Saint John, Ann Marie Elliott of Saint John, his grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Following cremation visiting will take place on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424). The Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 19, 2007, at 11:00 am, at Stella Maris Church. Remembrances made to Rocmaura Nursing Home, the Alzheimer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
