Obituary of Lorraine Norma Rooney
Rooney, Lorraine Norma- It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorraine Rooney, wife of Brian Rooney of the Kingston Peninsula, NB, occurred on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Gagetown, NB, on May 26, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Minnie (Smith) Boone. Lorraine loved her family and friends. She loved to spend time outside gardening, doing jigsaw puzzles, and played bingo in support of the Animal Rescue League. She will be sadly missed by her husband Brian, her son; Wade Warren (Marilyn) of Evandale, her daughters; Colleen Rooney (Daniel Anstis) of the Kingston Peninsula, and Loretta Boyle (Brian) of Morna, five grandchildren Alex and Kyle Boyle, Karly, Kurtis and Dylan Warren, her brothers; Reginal (Judy), Clifford (Blondine), and Junior (Pat) Boone, her sisters; Joan Connelly, and Yvonne Stella (Fred Briggs), and several nieces and nephews, she was predeceased by her brothers; Eldon, Covett, and Hugh Boone. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home,111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday February 19, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church, Clarendon Street, Saint John on Wednesday February 20, 2008 at 11am. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Animal Rescue League, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
