Obituary of Joyce Irene Tarr
It is with deep sadness that the family of Joyce I. Tarr of Lorneville, NB announces her passing on July 26, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on August 4, 1934, in Great Village, NS, she was a daughter of the late Paige and Daisy (McCallum) Wilson. Joyce loved her garden and flowers, she also loved to read, knit and bowl. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her husband, Arthur; daughters: Sharon (Barry) Blanchard of Kars, NB and Artith (Brian) Train of Saint John, NB; three grandchildren: Stacey Tarr, Brian (Susan) Train and Michael (Stephanie) Blanchard; two great-grandchildren: Nicholas Tarr and Colby Train; a brother, Theodore (Helen) Wilson; sisters: Tiny (Gordon) McCully, June Chipman and Jeanette (Bud) McKinnon; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joyce was predeceased by a son, Carlen C. Tarr; brothers: Lester, Malcolm and Lawrence; sister, Rutheen. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. At Joyce’s request there will not be any visitation. Following Cremation, Joyce will make her final journey to Nova Scotia, where a graveside service will be held at the Glenholme Cemetery on Monday, July 30, 2007 at 1:30 pm. Remembrances may be made to the Oncology Dept or the Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital, the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of choice.
