Obituary of Brien Charles McCormick
With Great sadness, we announce the death of Brien Charles McCormick of Saint John, NB, which occurred on June 12, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. Born in Fairville, Saint John, he was the son of the late, Charles and Catherine (O’Brien) McCormick. Brien was employed with the Telegraph Courrier during WW II and was a life long employee of the I.L.A. He played for the Saint John Beaver and the Saint John Pontiacs Hockey team in 1943, he was also a life time member of the Knights of Columbus. Brien loved spending his summers on Kennebecasis (McCormick’s) Island. Survived by his wife, Gladys (Gauthier), his sons, Kevin, John (Tanya) and Paul McCormick and his grandson, Reilly O’Hearon, all of Saint John. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Thursday from 2 … 4 and 7 … 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on June 15, 2007 from St. Peter’s Church, at 10:00 am. Rembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
