Obituary of Garnet Lindsay Pennell
Pennell, Garnet Lindsay - The death of Garnet Lindsay Pennell of Saint John, NB, husband of Myrna (Aube) Pennell, occurred on Monday, March 26, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in McGregor, Manitoba a son of the late Charles and Lillian (Argue) Pennell. Garnett had been employed as a Paper Maker with Irving Paper Mill on Bayside Drive and he was a member of the Masonic Lodge F & AM Pine Falls # 154. Survived by his beloved wife, Myrna; her two sons, Philip and Peter and her daughter, Patti (Shawn) Healey; his son, Percy of Calgary, AB; his daughter, Maxine (Fred) Chamberlain of Saint John; a daughter-in-law, Louise Pennell; a brother, Glen Pennell of Saint John; a sister, Hazel Anderson of Ottawa, ON; three step-grandchildren, Kimberlee Hisson, Katherine and Christopher Healey; six grandchildren, Freddie (Jennifer) Chamberlain, Percy Pennell Jr., Natasha (Justin) Kirkpatrick, Mark, Scott and Sandy Pennell; great-grandchildren, Cole Kirkpatrick, Alexis and Jacob Chamberlain and Kevin Pennell; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife, Joan in 1993; a son, Craig in 2001; a brother, Lorne. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 2:15 pm. Interment will be in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances may be made to the N.B. Lung Association or the Arthritis Society.
