Obituary of Vance S. Fowler
Holding the hand of his beloved wife Roberta (Seaith), Vance S. Fowler of French Village died peacefully on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital following a period of failing health. Born in Saint John on March 19, 1939, he was the son of the late John S. and Mildred (Smith) Fowler. An accountant by profession, Vance was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a considerate and giving friend and neighbour always there to lend a hand. In addition to his wife he will be missed and lovingly remembered by sons Steven (Valerie) of Saint John and Brian (Gena) and Kevin of French Village, grandsons Christopher Fowler of Toronto and Jeremy Fowler of French Village, his second mother C. Louise (Vincent) Fowler, brother Jack (Wendy) of Cambridge Narrows, sisters Joanne Fitzpatrick (William) and Joyce Fowler of Saint John, Sharon Hartling (Albert) of Halifax and many nephews and nieces. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, with visitation on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, French Village on Friday, January 4 at 2 pm. Remembrances to the New Brunswick Lung Association, Hampton P.R.O. Kids and the St. Andrew’s Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
