Obituary of Laura Mae Bradley
Laura Mae Bradley, wife of the late Frederick Arthur Bradley, surrounded by the love of her family, passed away on January 19, 2007, at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born May 8, 1919, at South Branch, NB, she was the daughter of the late Welton and Birdie (Smith) Goddard. Laura was a member of Waterloo Street Baptist Church now Cornerstone Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement she had been employed for several years at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Laura’s family wishes to express their gratitude to all the staff of Rocmaura for their friendship and care over the years. Laura lived for her family and took great pride in the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her sons; Fred (Pat), Dan (Donalda), daughters; Loreen Ellingwood, Patricia Nilsson, Donna Hatfield Gloria Duguay (Mike) and Debbie Griffin (Pat), her 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren to whom she was affectionately known as Nannie ‘B’ or Great Nannie ‘B’. She is also survived by her brother Art (Sheila), sisters Mary, Jean, Beulah (Allison) and Vivien and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her children Douglas and Susan, grandson Patrick, sister Margaret Dunfield, brother Charlie and son-in-law Albert. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at 1:00 pm, from Brenan’s Chapel. Following cremation an interment for immediate family will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to Rocmaura Foundation Inc., Cornerstone Baptist Church or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
