Obituary of J. BERNARD RYAN
The death of J. Bernard “Bud” Ryan of Saint John, NB occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Saturday, January 27, 2007. Bud was born in Trenton, NS, and was a son of the late George and Mary (MacKinnon) Ryan. Bud was a Licensed Life Underwriter and worked in the Insurance Industry for over 25 years. Survived by his loving wife, Sandra Marilyn (Fraser) Ryan, his children; John Ryan and Sonia Ryan of Yarmouth, NS, brother; Dennis Ryan of Ottawa, ON, and sisters; Joyce MacDonald, Audrey Gladney, Shirley MacLaren and Patricia Hughes all of Trenton, NS. Bud was predeceased by his brothers; Edward, George (Dim) and Donnie as well as his sisters; Ann and Hectorina. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424). A Memorial Service will be held at Sweeney’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth, NS on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 2:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, Trenton, NS on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 11:00 am. Interment to take place in Christ the King Cemetery, Trenton, NS. Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to Rocmaura Nursing Home.
